The Church Rota needs you!

Not only have we moved back onto our own building, but we have also recently re-started our traditional tea and coffee time after the Sunday service. This also means that our church rota is back, and we are always looking for people for any of the following tasks:

  • Readers
  • Intercessory prayers
  • Crucifer
  • Sides people
  • Flowers
  • Tea and coffee

If you can help with any of these, please simply sign up – you can find the current rota on the notice board at the entrance.

Thank you in advance, we appreciate your support!

Save the Date: Church Picnic on 26 June

We are going to have a church picnic on Sunday 26th June, after the morning service, in Planten un Blomen.

At last, a chance for us to relax and ‘get together’ as the wider church community. Please bring your own food and drink, and something to sit on if you need it. We will walk across after the 10.30 service, and find a good spot somewhere in the park. Please invite family and friends, young and old, to come along and join in.

Book your place for a special Ascension Day dawn liturgy – and breakfast!

The tradition in the Church of England (Anglican Church) is to go to a high place at dawn on Ascension Day, to celebrate the ascension of our Lord. This would usually be a church tower, or the summit of a nearby hill – but we don’t have either of these, so we’re going on to the roof of the Ecumencial Forum instead.

God is gone up with a merry noise, with the sound of the trumpet!

Please email chaplain@anglican-church-hamburg.de to book your place.

Sunday morning Services during February in the Michel crypt

Due to the ongoing heating situation in our church, St Michael’s Church (Michel) kindly offered us their crypt to temporarily use for Sunday worship. For now, this is going to be the case for all February services. They are going to take place during our regular time, starting 10.30.

Please enter the Michel through the main door at Englische Planke. The crypt is downstairs to the left hand side.

Fundraising Project: Help us get our heating back on track!

We are currently in need of your assistance with our Heating Project Appeal. Any donation, no matter the size, helps us get closer to our goal, and we are grateful for everyone who gives and/or helps spreading the word. ❤

Licensing Service for Revd. Jules on 11 July

This past Sunday we finally celebrated the official licensing of Revd. Jules Ann Barnes as our new chaplain. She was licensed by the Venerable Dr Leslie Nathaniel, Archdeacon of the East, Germany and Northern Europe.
