“Choral evensong is one of the richest cultural treasures of Britain. But most adults don’t know about it,” Dr Guy Hayward, a former choral scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge, recently told the Independent newspaper. Dr Hayward is launching an online tool to help people services of choral evensong close to them. Choralevensong.org goes live on 22 November, the feast of St Cecilia, patron saint of musicians.
