The project is being given funding by The Diocese in Europe and the Anglican mission agency Us (formerly USPG). More information, including how you can donate to the Us Advent Appeal in support of the work, can be found on Bishop David’s blog.

Choral evensong this Sunday

Our own Anglican Consort will be singing choral evensong for the feast of All Saints this Sunday, 1 November at 5 p.m. – see Dates to Note below.
“Choral evensong is one of the richest cultural treasures of Britain. But most adults don’t know about it,” Dr Guy Hayward, a former choral scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge, recently told the Independent newspaper. Dr Hayward is launching an online tool to help people services of choral evensong close to them. Choralevensong.org goes live on 22 November, the feast of St Cecilia, patron saint of musicians. Can’t wait that long? Come to us on Sunday!

Bedding (sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases), towels, hot water bottles, men’s and women’s clothing (sizes S, M), toys¸children’s clothing¸boys’ clothing (sizes 116-174), thermos flasks.

Boxes to store the items are available upstairs on the gallery ooposite the bookstall.
