We are delighted to announce the appointment of Revd Matthew “Matt” Johnson to be the 48th chaplain of the “Englische Kirche” in Hamburg. Revd Matt hails from the US, where he was ordained into the Episcopal Church. He moved to Germany in 2021 and has most recently been serving as Priest-in-Residence at St Catherine’s Anglican Chaplaincy in Stuttgart. Alongside parish ministry, he has written and lectured on liturgy and theology and is an active church musician. He has also taught English and History. Revd Matt Johnson will commence his ministry on 1 August.
