Just as Choral Evensongs are celebrated with treasures of English choral music in big Anglican cathedrals there is a contemporary music setting of an evening liturgy by the American composer Marty Haugen – just for the congregation with piano accompaniment. It is called “Holden Evening Prayer” since Marty Haugen composed it while living and working at Holden Village, an ecumenical retreat centre in the Lutheran tradition.
